International Sales Conference with Anniversary Finale

From 21 to 22 November 2018, the mechanical engineering company MAFAC extended an invitation to an international sales conference in Alpirsbach. Around 40 external and internal sales employees from 15 different countries accepted the invitation, including participants from China, Korea and Brazil, from the DACH region, France, Great Britain, Italy, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Slovakia and Turkey as well as from the most recent markets Sweden and Norway. In addition to the presentation of technical innovations and developments at MAFAC, the agenda also included the company's 50th anniversary, which culminated with the meeting of almost all sales partners working for the company.

The two-day programme contained an exciting mix of new products and advancements, information on the company's development and its future strategic orientation. Stimulating discussions and plenty of time for networking rounded off the meeting. “We invited our national and international sales partners together to a conference for the first time and we are very satisfied with the course of the event. We could see how all participants seized the opportunity to exchange experiences and network and how they saw themselves as a team,” says Peter Ruoff, Head of Marketing and Sales, about the event. The two managing directors, Joachim and Rainer Schwarz, were equally impressed. They found that “the refreshing and deepening of specialist knowledge but also learning from each other on the basis of best practice examples” particularly important. In this context, the intensive introduction to the new process technology of vector kinematics and the machine concept of the new MAFAC PURA was just as important as the examination of existing technologies from different perspectives. “It is always amazing how many new ideas arise from the exchange of market experiences. We take up much of this as a suggestion for improvements, whether in terms of sales or product technology. This is the only way we can develop and sell market-relevant products or improve service quality and customer satisfaction together," concludes Bettina Kern, Head of Marketing and Sales.

Not only knowledge transfer and team building were the focus of the sales conference - the joint celebration of the company’s anniversary was also important to the hosts. "50 years MAFAC means not only to look back with pride on what we have achieved so far, but also to say thank you for the daily work and the support on site, on the market. This applies equally to our employees and our sales partners. Thanks to their loyalty, we were able to achieve a very good market penetration,” explains Rainer Schwarz. On the evening of the first day of the conference in the Alpirsbacher Braukeller, a toast was raised and we celebrated with good food. The table magician Martin Eisele provided brilliant entertainment with witty humour and top-class magic.

The combination of the national and international sales conference formed an important building block for the further integration of the sales team and will be repeated in this format in the future.
